Signed oil painting on panel depicting four Dutch ships, including a typical 17th-century three-master. During the Golden Age, the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands was the country of shipbuilding.

The Dutch fleet at the time consisted of no fewer than 1,300 merchant ships, 450 coasters, 500 herring barges and dozens of warships. On the right, at work, we recognize, among other things, a hoeker. This was originally a fishing boat used by the VOC from 1664. Condition: This painting is in good condition and shows no visible signs of damage. A small fragment of gold leaf has come loose at the top left of the frame.

Dimensions of the work:
Without frame: Width: 53.00 cm; Height: 40.00 cm
With frame: Width: 68.50 cm; Height: 56.00 cm
