"Empire Period Gilt Bronze Candlesticks "
Pair of Empire period gilt bronze candlesticks. The circular base is chiseled with a flowerbed, a single groove is surrounded by striations and a row of pearls. The stem begins in the shape of a vase adorned with palmettes, water drops, and crosspieces, then becomes conical with protruding flutes. The plump socket is chiseled with flowers, the bobeche is also ornate. 19th century work composed of nine elements plus the threaded mounting rod. Good condition, the original gilding is very well preserved!
