A spectacular evening shawl in gold lamé dating from the Art Deco period in France. Square shawl with reversible decoration, woven with gold lamé edging on a black satin ground. Design with twelve large blooming flowers in shades of red, orange, pink, black and cream in large concentric circles with a spiral effect in the background. Long fringes tied with black silk cords on the four sides. Beautiful suppleness of the lamé evoking the soft drapes of the Art Deco period. No flaws to note apart from a few tangled fringes. Very good condition in terms of color and preservation.
Dimensions: 112 cm x 115 cm, plus fringes 44 cm.
