Napoleon III Second Empire half-set consisting of a brooch adaptable as a pendant and a pair of pendant earrings in 750/°° yellow and pink gold (18 KT, eagle's head hallmarks), decorated with fine pearls. These large-scale jewels are crafted with lightness and transparency through delicate openwork, like lace. A very feminine circular base is crossed above and below by a triangular motif, a very characteristic shape of Napoleon III jewelry and recurring on them, often in the form of points and arrows. This triangular shape gives a lot of strength and character to this set of otherwise very sober composition: a mixture of yellow and pink gold, enhanced on circular edges located around the entire perimeter of each piece, with black enamel. The fine pearls in gradient bring their characteristic shine. The very geometric lines are softened by arabesques and foliage. The large scale of these jewels is possible thanks to a certain mobility of the whole, all the parts being meshed together. Each piece is punctuated and finished with a tassel pearl. The pendant bail can be folded back and become invisible to wear the jewel as a brooch. The closing system of the earrings consists of a rod (for pierced ears) combined with a clip for a better hold.
