18th Century Painting - Portrait Of A Woman Dated 1786
Beautiful portrait of a woman from the 18th century, apparently in a wedding dress. Inscription on the back: "Catherine Louise Josèphe Dufour, second wife of Jacques Josèphe Théodore Sterckem 1786." The canvas was re-stretched on a 19th century stretcher. The painting is in very good condition despite some wear and small restorations. 19th century frame painted with gilding. 80 x 69 cm with the frame. 65.5 x 54.5 without the frame.
