Very beautiful bronze head of a woman by the artist Albert Navarra (1927-2019). It is a bronze from the famous Valsuani art foundry. Albert Navarra is a complete artist, sculptor, painter, but also ceramist. He was a student of Paul Belmondo and Henri Laithier. He had numerous commissions from the state, notably a monumental group for the Ministry of Justice and several works for churches. (Full CV available on request). Height: 41 cm with the base, 31 cm without the base. Depth: 27 cm. Width: 17.5 cm. Valsuani foundry stamp on the back on the neck. AN signature on the base of the neck. Old exhibition label in Brussels in 1958 under the wooden base. Perfect condition. Provenance: Family of the artist.
