Abstract Painting By Félix Denax
Artist: Félix Denax ( 1936-1999 )
Large abstract painting by Felix Denax (1936-1999)
This Toulouse painter, a student of Raoul Bergougnan in Toulouse and then of Baudry in Paris, was a professor at the Toulouse School of Fine Arts.
At the end of the 1950s, he moved towards an abstraction largely inspired by Hartung, Soulages, Tapies, Messagier and Marfaing.
His informal landscaping has been exhibited many times, notably in 1984 at the Musée des Augustins in Toulouse.
Our painting also appears in this catalog, with a long, laudatory preface by Mr. Denis Milhau, curator of this museum.
