Jef Lambeaux (1852–1908) was a prominent Belgian sculptor, particularly known for his works that depicted vivid human emotions and detailed physical expression. Born in Antwerp, Lambeaux studied at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts, where he acquired a solid artistic foundation. His creative style was influenced by realism and symbolism. One of the author's most famous works is "The First Step of Man," a monumental work dedicated to the representation of naturalness and human sexuality, which later sparked debate due to its boldness and openness.
