"Concretion Of 5 Roman Coins - Epfig Treasure "
A very rare batch of 5 Roman coins of Constantine, concretized together, from the Epfig treasure. In 2010, three workers from a company commissioned by the Departmental Water and Sanitation Union were carrying out work on the drinking water network in Epfig, rue de la montagne. Their machine hit a terracotta jar hiding a veritable treasure inside. The Epfig treasure is one of the largest treasures discovered in Alsace for this period. It consists of 14,000 Roman-era coins, mainly bronze, dating from the 3rd and 4th centuries AD.
