Zoomorphic Hearth Rack Wrought Iron - 18th Century." 13th century wrought iron rack decorated on its adjustment hook with a bird's head on one side and opposite with a snake's body. The rack part is decorated with a grid pattern over its entire height. The fixing ring is movable around its axis. The suspension hook is finished with a bead. The whole is assembled solely by hot forging and rivets. Its weight is 4.0 kg. Its closed height is 120 cm. Open to the last notch, its extended height is 163 cm.
