Louis XV Side Table In Painted Wood – Rance Marble – 18th Century.

Charming little Louis XV period occasional table, in antique green painted wood, topped with its thick Rance marble top, molded with an elegant bec de corbin. It rests on four curved legs ending in crow's feet, also called deer's feet, typical of the light and lively silhouette of Louis XV furniture. The apron opens with a drawer on the front with a pull knob on a bronze riser. The old light and dark green paint has a very decorative patina of use, revealing in places the wood material. This type of finish is typical of 18th century provincial furniture, giving the whole a refined character. French regional work, probably from the Southwest or Center, circa 1750–1760, entirely original and in good condition, there is a very discreet old repair to the marble.
