Jacques Falcou. Oil on plywood panel "the bouquet of anemones" signed lower right Falcou. French school. 62.3 X 58 cm (59.5 X 55.7 cm visible). Jacques Falcou (1912-1975) was a student of Lucien Simon (1861-1945) and Octave Guillonnet (1872-1967). From 1932, he exhibited flowers, portraits and compositions at the Salon des Artistes Français. He received various distinctions within this association, including a silver medal in 1937 and 1938. Sources: Bénézit dictionary of painters and sculptors. Painted wooden frame and fabric marie louise from the period (1950s-60s). The painting has certainly been patinated by the artist. Good condition. 580 euros.
