Ante Abramović, born on May 17, 1903 in Posavski Podgajci, Croatia, was a famous academic painter
He began his artistic training in Zagreb, Croatia, under the tutelage of E.Tomašević and O.Postružnik
Later, he came to Belgrade, Serbia, where he completed his studies at the School of Arts in 1934 under the tutelage of
Milan Milovanović
He worked as a professor at the Belgrade School of Pedagogy
His first group exhibitions date from 1936 with the groups "Bojkotaši" (Boycott) and "Nezavisni" (Independent)
After World War II, he exhibited in numerous independent and group exhibitions (1940, 1952, 1956, 1957, 1961, 1976)
In addition to his art and teaching, he worked on book illustrations
He received numerous awards and recognitions during a long, productive career
He died in 1985 in Belgrade
