Born in Paris in 1888, Louise Alix, a painter of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, studied under Yvonne Delattre and Henri Zo. She exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1926 and 1941, received a commendation in 1928, the Bernheim de Villiers Prize in 1933, and the Silver Medal for Applied Arts in 1935. She also exhibited her works at the Salon des Indépendants.
