"Marine Henri Arden "
Henri Arden is known primarily for his seascapes, depicting scenes and landscapes of Belgian ports (boats, ports teeming with people, etc.) in his paintings. This is how compositions evoking the great Flemish cities (View of the Port of Antwerp, Surroundings of Harlem) have come down to us. Arden was very interested in light and the rendering of the colors of the sea and the sky, depending on climatic fluctuations (Bad Weather Offshore) or different times of day (Sailboats at Sunrise, Sailboats at Sunset), an approach that brings him closer to Impressionism.
