Lonel Loanid (1882-1952) was born and died in Bucharest. He studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Bucharest and is said to have been a student at the prestigious School of Painting and Sculpture at the Julian Academy in Paris. In addition to being a painter, he was a distinguished acrobat who received gold in circus competitions. He was a member of the idealist society Cenacl alongside Brancusi, Séverin, Paciurea.... He does not have a huge reputation - except for certain works - but his profile is particularly beautiful, very close to the symbolist painters (pastellists) of this period, including Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer...
New and very ugly gilded wooden frame with a window.
