Beautiful pastel depicting Water Lilies, signed lower right G. Girardot and dated 1906 on the back. A very intimate pastel with a surprisingly vibrant technique and beautiful color tones. Visible dimensions: 25.5 x 35.5 cm, framed in a modern frame. Georges Girardot trained in Paris under the painter Albert Maignan and was a member of the Société des Artistes Français since 1883. He exhibited regularly at the Salon, where he received numerous medals, including an Honorable Mention in 1893 and a second-class medal in 1907.
