19th Century Italian Parade PlatePolychrome ceramic, with a wide rim, short frill, and wide base. Ring reverse. Rim decoration of harpies and fantastical animals on an ivory ground. In the niche, an antique scene, probably that of King Midas, in a landscape with figures, satyrs, and buildings. Made in the Metauro region, with a trace of manganese inscription under the glaze on the reverse. Condition: Slight shrinkage of the glaze during firing.Diameter: 41 x 4.5 cmGood condition
