Important Spanish school of the 17th century "The Carrying of the Cross" Oil on canvas 73 x 60 cm With frame: 78 x 65 cm The work is inspired by ancient models, notably the painting by Andrea Solario kept at the Musée d'Arts de Nantes and that of Sebastiano del Piombo kept at the Prado in Madrid. This last painting inspired Luis De Morales, known as El Divino, who painted the same subject in several versions, one of which, considered original, is kept at the Uffizi Museum in Florence.
