Oil On Canvas Deposition Of The Cross
We present this large oil on canvas, representing the deposition of the Cross, a painting based on the painting by Charles LEBRUN from the 17th century 1619/1690 which has been in Rennes at the Museum of Fine Arts since 1811. The dimension of the original painting is spectacular 5.45 mx 3.29 m, our recovery is less impressive since it measures 83 x 65 cm on the frame. The painting has been re-canvased and is from the 18th century. (E24A)
