Born in Langres in 1928, Michel Henry is a French painter. He entered the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris and then the studio of Roger Chapelain-Midy. He was a laureate of the 28th promotion of the Casa de Velázquez in 1957-1958. Henry became known for his still lifes, bouquets of flowers and landscapes. In 1983, he was appointed president of the Salon d'Automne. His works are held in important collections (Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, Sursock Museum in Beirut, National Museum of Colombia in Bogota). He has exhibited in New York, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, Paris, Nancy and Tokyo.
