It is written : "Friday the 18th. I went to Pouldu this morning by bicycle. Left at 7:15 a.m. returned at 11:15 a.m. The physical exercise gave me a great appetite. I had lunch at the Hôtel du Lion d'or and now I am all about physical well-being. Noises do not reach me muffled, my eyes are hypnotized by the window open onto the whiteness of the square." "Vendredi 18. J'ai été ce matin en bicyclette au Pouldu. Parti  7h1/2 revenu 11h1/2. L'exercice physique m' a donné un grand appétit. J'ai birn déjeuner à l'Hôtel du Lion d'or et maintenant je suis tout au bien être physique. Les bruits ne m'arrivent pas ouatés mes yeux sont hypnotisés par la fenêtre ouverte sur la blancheur de la place."
