"Lorraine Sideboard, 18th Century. "
This oak sideboard opens on the front with three doors and three drawers, the whole is dressed with very beautiful finely cut ironwork, the long drawer handles are in turned steel, called falling hands they are characteristic of the production of Lorraine. The molded doors have a scalloped and symmetrical cutout in the upper part while the right and left doors have an identical asymmetrical molding. The lower crosspiece is scalloped and molded. The piece of furniture rests on front legs ending in a volute. In good general condition the sideboard has retained a very beautiful patina. The interior part of the drawers has probably been redone and this according to the rules of the art. The top is stained here and there as is often the case and the feet are a little worn and pitted but they deserve to be preserved. Period 18th century. Length 200 cm, height, 95 cm, depth 49 cm.
