Louis XV style clock, Napoleon III period (circa 1860–1880), in Boulle marquetry (brass and black tortoiseshell) and finely chiseled gilt bronze. Rich decoration of mascarons, foliage, acanthus leaves and scrolled feet. Domed gilt brass dial with blue enameled Roman numerals on a white background. Movement signed LAY FNT, 29 Passage Jouffroy, Paris, number 3886. Original key and pendulum included. Dimensions: 21.5 cm (width) x 13 cm (depth) x 40 cm (height) Condition: very good overall condition with slight signs of wear on the marquetry (see photos). Operation not guaranteed, to be checked.
