The composition of this lithograph represents 3 roses seen in close-up against a bucolic landscape background, mixing a bed of white flowers and, in the background, some silhouettes of bluish trees. The choice of motifs taken from nature as well as their highly stylized treatment are both fully in line with the artistic movement of Art Nouveau, very fashionable at the beginning of the 20th century, and of which Henri Privat-Livemont (1861-1936) was one of the greatest representatives in Belgium, which earned him the nickname "the Belgian Mucha".
This lithograph is signed and dated "Privat / Livemont / 1903" at the bottom left. It bears a dry stamp at the bottom right, partially covered by the mat, from which the word "tableaux" protrudes.
The work is well framed and just needs to be hung!
