"Blue Glazed Stoneware Vase. Floral Decoration. Qing China, 19th Century."
Small creamy-white ceramic vase covered with a very thick, crackled sky blue glaze. Decorated with famille rose enamel flowers. The rim has been shaded brown with iron oxide. The clay is stoneware, possibly white Hixing. Chinese work from the Qing period, 19th century. This type of ceramic is rare. It has been pierced to be mounted as a lamp, see photos, otherwise in good condition. Height 22cm.
