"Pair Of Louis XVI Period Vases"
Pair of Louis XVI period vases, in Napoleon Grand Mix marble, with gilt bronze mount. The handle in the form of branches intertwined with laurel leaves follows the pot-bellied shape of the vase at its attachments. Acanthus leaves enclose its trumpet foot, decorated with laurel garlands. A gilded bobèche rests on the mouth, thus giving the vase the function of a candlestick. The vase rests on a square base in Spanish brocatelle marble.
