Superb large antique liturgical altar facing, also called frontal, in ivory-colored damask silk, richly embroidered with gold thread. It is decorated with a Sacred Heart (Sacred Heart of Jesus), surrounded by golden rays. It is a major Christian symbol of the 19th century, representing Christ's love for humanity. The edge is highlighted with a golden border and the bottom is finished with long golden fringes. End of the 19th century 31x282cm Good general condition, some visible signs of use (see photos).
