19th Century Chinese Jesuit Cross, In Rosewood And Engraved Mother-of-pearl
The cross adorned with the sacred religious symbols of the Jesuit order. In the center, a Eucharistic chalice, the host radiating light, above a dove enclosed in a crown of thorns, below, the Immaculate Heart of Saint Mary pierced by swords, and below again, the Arma Christi (the Instruments of the Passion), adorned with peonies and floral scrolls, and a Chinese vase at the bottom.
