Description of the Shinto katana: This Shinto katana features a ubu-configured blade with a single mekugi-ana, thus retaining its original integrity. The tempering pattern (hamon) is a gunome-midare, with irregular undulations, reflecting the refined craftsmanship of the blacksmith. The blade is signed by the master blacksmith Echigo no Kami Kanesada. A rare blade from the Shinto period, perfectly combining aesthetics and functionality. This is why this piece is reserved for demanding collectors or enthusiasts. It embodies the essence of samurai craftsmanship and traditions.
