"19th Century Silver Travel Perfume Bottle – Legrand & Garnier"
Another treasure from France: this silver travel perfume bottle, most likely made in France by the silversmith Legrand & Garnier. The silver is hallmarked three times on the underside: a square with the initials LG, a lozenge with LG and a handsaw, as well as the French word "Déposé." This silversmith is believed to have been active between 1883 and 1886. The silver is richly decorated and surrounds the glass bottle, which still retains its original stopper. A true little work of art from the 19th century. It was likely gilded, as traces of gold are still visible.
