"Late 18th Century Pair Of Lacquered And Gilt Mirrors "
Elegant
pair of small mirrors, made of finely carved and lacquered Swiss pine wood with
lean tempera and partly embellished with decorations in pure gold leaf. The
frames of the mirrors are enriched with vegetal scrolls, continuing also on the
cymatium, which ends with a refined chalice. The presence of the gilded
decorations and their articulation give these mirrors a great sense of elegance
and refinement, making them objects capable of enriching any environment with
taste and class. The mirrors are also original and contemporary with the
frames. Tuscan manufacture of the neoclassical period, around the end of the
18th century.
