"Albarelo In Earthenware Decorated In Blue Monochrome With A Cherub Motif, Late 17th Century"
A curved earthenware albarrel used in pharmacies to store medicinal preparations. It is decorated in monochrome blue with a winged cherub surrounded by stylized foliage and highlighted with horizontal lines. This baroque decoration evokes late Italian majolica production, probably from workshops in central or southern Italy at the end of the 17th century.
