"Brionvega Rr126 Signed Achille Castiglioni 1966"
Modular stereo-phono-radio produced by Brionvega in the 1960s. Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, the RR126 model features a central structure integrating a turntable, radio, and amplifier, framed by two detachable speakers with perforated fronts. The whole rests on a black lacquered metal base with casters.
The cabinet is made of veneered wood. The design responds to a functional logic specific to the Italian post-war modernist movement, with an emphasis on the mobility and autonomy of the sound elements. A model preserved at the MoMA in New York.
