"Rare XVIIth Model Of Drawers"
Rare and unusual model of a chest of drawers in walnut wood with an alternating two-tone effect, ebony and walnut. The drawers, the slippers and the pilaster strips are carved, but the peculiarity is its finely executed sides that reproduce the same topographical view of the city in carving. Another peculiarity is the different heights and sizes of the drawers, which probably refer to the intended use of the cabinet, which unfortunately is unknown to us. This is a model cabinet made during the seventeenth century in the Tuscan or Umbria-Marche area. Its measurements are: 49 cm long X 49 cm high x 29 cm deep. We enclose a certificate of authenticity with the sale.
