Our portrait, with a resolutely Art Deco aesthetic, represents the archetype of the femme fatale, sure of her charms.
The pose is languid, the arm nonchalantly extended on her thigh, the eyes half-closed, the face tilted back as if in a swoon, a bare breast offered to the viewer.
Seduction, sophistication and mystery emanate from her. Everything contributes to her image as a temptress: her brown hair sensually freeing her neck, her lips enhanced with an intense red, her eyelids shaded with a blueish cloud, her eyebrows with an underlined comma, her precious bracelet hanging casually from its wrist and the tip of her breast proudly displayed.

Yves DIEŸ (1882 Paris - 1984 Paris)

French post-impressionist painter, watercolorist, draftsman and engraver renowned for his sensual nudes.
Student at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the studio of the painter Louis François Biloul, who specialized in nudes and portraits, he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he received a gold medal in 1942 and which he soon joined as a member.
In the 1950s and 1960s, he worked and exhibited in Belgium and participated in the Exposition des Arts en Europe where he received a silver-gilt medal. In addition to his predilection for seductive female figures, he also devoted himself to portraits, still lifes, and genre scenes located in Paris or on the Île de Ré as well as in Spain, Morocco, and Algeria.
His works can be found in France (Musée des Augustins in Toulouse, Ministry of the Armed Forces in Paris), Belgium (Palais des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi, Château de Laeken), Italy (Pinacotheque Giovanni Morscio in Dolceaqua), Algiers, and as far away as Bangkok (Palais Royal).
His studio was sold at auction by Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr in 1976.
