A rare curule stool, in an "X" shape with legs ending in a scroll. The uprights are linked by a turned and molded spacer bar.
The Jeanselme firm
A century-old dynasty of cabinetmakers, they set up a seating factory during the Restoration. Thanks to their prosperity, they acquired the Jacob firm in 1847. Offering top-quality products, this firm supplied the Garde-Meubles of Louis Philippe and later Napoleon III.
