Table bell
Bronze with medal and gold patina
Dimensions: H. ; W. (cm.)
Paris, circa 1830

Historicism
The publication of Jules Michelet's collections during the Restoration and the creation of a “National Novel” to lend credibility to the regime in power, as well as the artistic emulation surrounding the writer Walter Scott and the painter Fleury-Richard, created a veritable “neo-Gothic” or “Gothic revival” artistic vogue.
Condition report: the patina and gilding are very fresh, and the bell has a clear, pure sound.
