Set of 6 fruit knives, Napoleon III production circa 1870, beautiful model with vermeil blades (sterling silver covered with fine gold) and carefully carved ivory handles bearing a DB monogram.
The vermeil blades make our beautiful knives a rare thing to find : vermeil is usually associated with mother-of-pearl rather than ivory.
Each blade bears the French hallmark Minerva 1st standard (.950 purity silver) as well as a goldsmith's hallmark.
The set is in excellent condition. No missing parts, intact ivory (no cracks), no deformation.
