Dagoty Attributed To - Empire Period Litron Cup - White And Gold Porcelain
Artist: Manufacture Dagoty, Attribué à
Empire-period litron mug in Paris porcelain, a beautiful model with a rich, fine-gold, scale-frieze design, very carefully gilded with a matte and glossy finish (burnished with agate). High-quality production - the gilding is particularly deep and the motif highly sophisticated - from the Empire period. Unsigned, the cup is attributed to the Manufacture Dagoty.
The quality of the decoration and gilding could be the work of several of the great Parisian manufactures, however the presence of the stylized floral medallion in the center of the saucer leads us to attribute this cup to Dagoty, who appreciated these highly symmetrical radiant, solar or floral motifs in the center of plates, saucers and platerie pieces.
The set is in excellent condition. The gilding, of very fine quality, is very fresh, no accidents.
Cup height: 6cm
Cup diameter: 6cm
Saucer diameter: 13cm
