Antique Persian Kurdish Hamadan hand-knotted rug. This rug is handmade, wool on wool. It is professionally cleaned. All colors are natural dyes. This rug was handmade in Iran, circa 1920-1930, by Kurds. Iranian Kurdistan, or Eastern Kurdistan, is an unofficial name for the regions in northwestern Iran with a majority or significant Kurdish population. Geographically, it includes the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, as well as parts of Hamadan and Lorestan provinces.
