Heriz is a region in northwestern Iran renowned for its handwoven rugs, prized for their durability and bold geometric patterns. These rugs are made with resilient wool from sheep fed in the copper-rich waters of the Sabalan Mountains. They often feature a central medallion and rectilinear motifs.
