Terracotta Maternity Hospital, Lobi People, Burkina Faso
Maternity depicting a woman in a seated position breastfeeding her child. This type of maternity is rare and is called "hàrberé". It is linked to the cult of Màa. The style is powerful and although it is only fragmentary, an intense force emanates from it. The style is particularly vigorous and expressive. I invite you to look at the photos to see the missing parts.
