Pair of lower percussion pistols of the "CUSSON ROSSIGNOL" system type, period II° Empire, XIX°. The hammer is placed under the barrel with the primer precussion system and is cocked by the finger which rests on the trigger tail. Octagonal barrel 8 cm long with a metal reinforcement plate on the upper part. Internally rifled barrel with sight, front sight and eyelet, in 11 mm caliber. Rustic wooden stock with metal cap rest for the little finger containing a loading rod with knurled rod button with notch for extraction, see photos. Both pistols are equipped on the left side with a hook device for holding on to a belt. Mechanical operation in single action in perfect working order. Simple and rustic pistols only efficiency was sought and not aesthetics.
