These shells can grow to between 15 and 31 cm (5.9–12.2 inches) in length, with an average size of around 23 cm (9 inches). Their distinctive shape features a thin, slightly curved siphonal canal, making them unique among gastropods. Coloration ranges from straw yellow to reddish beige, sometimes with delicate purple hues near the tips.
