Large oval painting under glass: Saint Jerome at threshold of his Hermitage, lion on his feet, In meditation, surrounded by celestial light.
Work from 18th century, frame from late 19th or 1900s,
blown glass in good condition, all painting under glass is original, (except for skies, retouched blues),
wooden background. Good condition, minimal paint losses everywhere, barely visible because compensated by one black paper background.
Northern Italy or Southern Germany, late 18th century.
