"Tea Caddy, China, Qing Dynasty, Mid-19th Century. "

Wooden tea box covered with hand-painted lacquer and gilding. Inside, two pewter tea containers. The painted decoration depicts figures in court dress, surrounded by buildings and vegetation.

China, mid-19th century.

Dimensions: 24 x 18.5 x 14.5 cm.

Good condition, minor loss of lacquer, one of the pewter containers is cracked - needs repair.
