The tomb contains a basin inscribed "Viro Immortali" to the immortal man and "Isle Sainte Hélène le 5 mai 1821"; the sloping lid is inscribed with the N. Inside the tomb, the body of Napoleon I. This souvenir is part of a very limited corpus of works produced around 1840 at the time of the return of the Ashes, organized by King Louis Philippe.
