Two Fine Earthenware Plates From Creil And Montereau From The Strawberry Service Known As Georges Sand
Two plates from the service known as "Georges Sand" The mark on the back of these plates was used by the Creil and Montereau factory between 1840 and 1876. Hand-painted relief decoration of flowering strawberries. This service was the favorite of Georges Sand who had ordered it for her home in Nohant, hence its nickname "Georges Sand" service. Very good condition. Diameter 21.4 cm
