Rare Opening Table With Headband In Trompe-l'oeil Marble Restoration Period
Very rare Opening table with headband painted with a rich trompe-l'oeil decoration of veined red marble. Restoration period (circa 1830). Decor painted on solid oak core. It is oval in shape. This table is equipped with 4 new extensions (high quality cabinetwork). 4 turned legs fold down from under the top in the open position to maintain perfect stability (leg locking systems under the top in the closed position). The extension slides work perfectly. Superb central base of octagonal section, on which lean the 4 volute feet with strongly molded windings, resting on a counter base with skates. Very good general condition. Height: 70.5 cm Dimensions of the closed top: 130 cm x 113 cm Dimensions of the open top with its 4 extensions: 130 x 301 cm Each of the 4 extensions is 47 cm wide. The headband of the tray is 8 cm wide.
